Meet the Artist
Michelle Krasowski is a Polish-American visual artist based in New Jersey. Working primarily in oil painting, sculptural relief, and mixed-media installation, her practice centers on themes of superstition, fate, and inherited belief systems. Through symbolic and narrative imagery, her work examines the quiet tension between belief and coincidence, devotion and sacrifice, and the unseen forces that shape human experience.
Raised in a multigenerational household rooted in Polish tradition, Krasowski draws inspiration from folklore, domestic rituals, and personal memory. These influences appear throughout her work as recurring symbols, connecting intimate experiences to broader themes of myth and psychology. Her paintings and installations blend classical influence with a contemporary approach, encouraging slow viewing and reflection.
She earned her BFA in Fine Art from William Paterson University, where she developed a cohesive body of work exhibited in academic and public settings. Since graduating, Krasowski has continued to present work in group and solo exhibitions, while also producing commissioned pieces and large-scale projects that extend her studio practice into physical space. Her work reflects an ongoing commitment to material exploration, narrative depth, and emotional restraint.
