Meet the Artist
I'm Michelle Krasowski, a Polish-American artist working across oil painting, experimental film, and public mural art. My practice explores fate, superstition, and cultural memory, rooted in my experience growing up between two worlds. Raised in a household where dreams, omens, and old-world rituals were part of daily life, I developed a deep sensitivity to symbolism and the unseen.
I create visual narratives that blend personal folklore with psychological tension and spiritual duality. My recent BFA thesis exhibition explored these themes through large-scale oil paintings and monochrome film prints, using layered surfaces and composition to evoke a sense of intimacy and mystery.
While oil is the foundation of my practice, I continue to expand my material vocabulary through sculptural relief techniques, gold leaf, and printmaking processes. This hands-on experimentation allows me to push the boundaries of storytelling while staying grounded in emotional and cultural themes.
I earned my BFA in Fine Art in 2025, and my work has been exhibited in academic settings and thesis shows. I'm currently pursuing opportunities in residencies, exhibitions, and public art spaces that align with my evolving practice.
