Green Knight Dispensary

AI had the opportunity to work with The Green Knight Dispensary, located in Somerset, NJ, to design and complete a custom exterior mural on the side of their building facing the parking lot. The mural took about two and a half weeks to complete, with some delays due to unpredictable weather.

The vision for the mural was inspired by a reference featuring a woman with flowing floral hair, evoking a balance of softness, strength, and surreal beauty. I wanted to expand on that concept while tying in the brand's identity. The Green Knight's logo features a medieval knight, which I reinterpreted by incorporating subtle armor details onto the female figure. This blend symbolizes the resilience and empowerment behind the dispensary's mission, while also keeping a dreamy, elevated tone.

I also drew inspiration from the location itself, just minutes away from Rutgers University, whose own mascot is a knight. The connection felt natural, so I leaned into that shared symbolism to make the mural resonate even more with the local community.

To emphasize the brand’s essence, I kept green tones consistent throughout the design, both to reference the name “Green Knight” and to visually nod to cannabis culture. The final piece is a fusion of strength, serenity, and local pride, serving as a striking visual landmark for the dispensary.
