Studio Reprisal

Over the past year, I had the opportunity to create two custom murals for Studio Reprisal, a wellness studio located in Hoboken, New Jersey. Each project had its own vision and challenge, allowing me to combine creativity with craftsmanship to bring their space to life.

The first mural focused on setting the right tone for the studio’s atmosphere. The client asked me to design a pop art-inspired mural that would feel unisex, bold, and inviting for everyone, without leaning too heavily toward a feminine or masculine look. I kept that in mind as I developed the piece, using dynamic comic book influences while making sure the color palette and energy were welcoming to all. The final mural reflects the spirit of what Studio Reprisal offers its clients: a space that’s vibrant, personal, and full of positive energy, while still feeling stylish and modern.

For both projects, I worked with high-quality Sherwin-Williams interior paints to ensure durability, smooth coverage, and vibrant color payoff that would stand up to everyday use in the studio environment.

Recently, I was brought back for a second project. One of the studio's walls originally featured a unique wallpaper that had unfortunately started to peel and wear down over time. Instead of replacing it with new paper, the client asked me to replicate the original design, but this time, fully hand-painted to offer greater longevity and a seamless, custom finish. This project required close attention to detail to accurately capture the original pattern while refreshing the overall look.

Both murals were special in their own way. Whether it was creating something completely new or preserving a piece of the studio’s original character, it’s been incredibly rewarding to help Studio Reprisal continue to grow while maintaining the welcoming, creative environment they’re known for.
