Where the Arrow Falls
Mixed media diptych 2026, each panel 12 × 4 in
Inspired by an old Slavic folktale in which a prince releases an arrow to determine his future bride, Where the Arrow Falls explores the delicate relationship between fate, love, and the unknown.
The arrow becomes a symbol of surrender, representing the moment when choice gives way to destiny. Once released, its path can no longer be controlled, leaving its destination to chance or perhaps something greater.
Through this narrative, the diptych reflects on the uncertainty of life’s direction and the belief that some encounters are not merely coincidences, but moments guided by fate.
